What is USA Jigsaw Nationals?
USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association hosts the USA Jigsaw Nationals to showcase the sport of speed puzzling, highlight the best puzzlers around the country, and connect with the growing community of puzzlers of any speed.
The 2026 USA Jigsaw National Championship sponsored by Ravensburger sets the stage for some of the world's fastest puzzlers to demonstrate their skills.
Convention Activities
Even if you are not competing, there are plenty of puzzling activities to keep you busy all weekend!
This year's National Convention is the biggest ever! Discover new puzzle brands and artists, try new competition formats, be a part of some of the largest group puzzle builds, and of course connect with other puzzlers that share in your passion.
Registration
Even though the National Championship is sold out, you can still participate!
Entry Badge ($125 + tax) - this badge gets you in the door to all of it. The puzzling, the special competitions, the seminars, and of course free stuff! *NOTE- Any Entry Badges purchased after March 1st, 2026, will not be guaranteed an event t-shirt.
Spectator Button ($10 + tax) - Just want to stay to watch your friends or family compete? This button allows you access to our competition rooms so you can watch all the action. Want to participate in all of it though? Get a badge!
Kids under 10 - free! They do not need a badge or button to enter the event.
Championship - Heat assignments are located on the Attendee Info webpage, so pop up registrations are done. If you still want to compete, there will be walk up lines at the event to fill seats in the event of last minute cancellations before every preliminary competition.

We are thrilled to announce the first Jigsaw Nationals Artist Alley, a jigsaw-focused art fair where new jigsaw artists will premiere their limited-edition puzzles for purchase! Peruse their other merchandise for sale, get your new puzzles signed, and connect with the local art community. As puzzlers, we study puzzle images for hours, gaining a deep appreciation for the artwork and artists, and Artist Alley aims to celebrate and expand upon that.

We've added a fourth preliminary round to the individual competition. There will be 4 x 200 participants, where 50 participants from each heat will move on to the final round.
The teams preliminary rounds will be shorter, at 2.25 hours to complete 1 x 500 piece puzzle and 1 x 1000 piece puzzle.
If you have friends or family that are just coming to watch you compete, we have a spectator button option that they can purchase, granting them access to the competition space only.
The puzzle convention is back! But with all those great perks and experiences, all participants will need to buy a Jigsaw Nationals Competition & Convention Entry Badge. Badges will be customized to each individual. Therefore they are not transferrable. Badges will display full names, and optionally, your state of residence and your social media handle.

Registrants for the individual competition must be at least 16 years old. Participants younger than 16 can compete in Pairs and Teams if competing with someone (older than 16).
All competitors must be U.S. residents or citizens.

Individual competition ($40/individual) - SOLD OUT
Previously unreleased 500 piece puzzles from Ravensburger for both the preliminary and final rounds.
Preliminary round will consist of 200 competitors each.
The final round will consist of the top 50 finishers from each of the 4 preliminary rounds
Pairs competition ($60/pair) - SOLD OUT
Previously unreleased 500 piece puzzles from Ravensburger for both the preliminary and final rounds.
Preliminary round will consist of 200 pairs each.
The final round will consist of the top 100 pairs from each of the 2 preliminary rounds.
Teams competition ($120/team)- SOLD OUT
For preliminary rounds, each team will receive 1 x 500-piece puzzle and 1 x 1000-piece puzzles in consecutive order with previously unreleased Ravensburger images.
For the final round, each team will receive 2 x 1,000 piece previously unreleased puzzles in consecutive order. The preliminary rounds will consist of 100 teams each.
The final round will consist of the top 50 teams from each of the 2 preliminary rounds

All competitors MUST have an Attendee Badge to enter the venue.
This badge entitles you to all kinds of great perks in addition to the competition, such as convention events, seminars, puzzle exhibitors/vendors, casual competitions, puzzle artist signings, and lots of opportunities for casual puzzling and practice space!
Ravensburger will also once again be selling puzzles and merchandise.
