Location/Hotel Details
The event will be located at the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart - building 2, 240 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
We do have a discounted hotel block for USA Jigsaw Nationals competitors. The hotel is attached to the convention center. After you register for the event, you will receive the hotel block information via email!
New This Year
We've added a fourth preliminary round to the individual competition. There will be 4 x 200 participants, where 50 participants from each heat will move on to the final round.
The teams preliminary rounds will be shorter, at 2.25 hours to complete 1 x 500 piece puzzle and 1 x 1000 piece puzzle.
If you have friends or family that are just coming to watch you compete, we have a spectator button option that they can purchase, granting them access to the competition space only.
The puzzle convention is back! But with all those great perks and experiences, all participants will need to buy an attendee convention badge. (More information below)
Registration Details
USAJPA members will receive an email a few days before the registration date with the link to register. Please have the following information ready to go upon registering:
Name, email address, and city/state of residence, for every teammate you sign up
Credit card or Paypal information for payment
Your 8-digit Member ID number, which can be found from the USAJPA MemberPlanet portal. (Click the link, log in and you'll see your profile on the Dashboard with a link to the USAJPA Membership ID underneath it.)
For individual competition registration, you also need birth date and Member ID number for you and any teammates for whom you are purchasing an individual competition ticket.
**Pricing for the Pairs and Teams Competition is for the entire event. Only one person per pair or team needs to register.
Competition Details
Official Rules for 2026 USA Jigsaw Nationals
Individual Competition ($40/individual) - Previously unreleased 500 piece puzzles from Ravensburger for both the preliminary and final rounds. Preliminary round will consist of 200 competitors each. The final round will consist of the top 50 finishers from each of the 4 preliminary rounds.
Pairs Competition ($60/pair) - Previously unreleased 500 piece puzzles from Ravensburger for both the preliminary and final rounds. Preliminary round will consist of 200 pairs each. The final round will consist of the top 100 pairs from each of the 2 preliminary rounds.
Teams Competition ($120/team) - For preliminary rounds, each team will receive 1 x 500-piece puzzle and 1 x 1000-piece puzzles in consecutive order with previously unreleased images. For the final round, each team will receive 2 x 1,000 piece previously unreleased puzzles in consecutive order. The preliminary rounds will consist of 100 teams each. The final round will consist of the top 50 teams from each of the 2 preliminary rounds.
*There will be no check-in for each competition. You will be notified via email prior to the event which preliminary heat you are in and your assigned table. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your event. When the doors open, you will be directed to your seat. If your table seat is empty at the beginning of announcements (5 minutes before start time), your seat will be forfeited to someone in the walk-up waitlist.

Age Requirement: Registrants for the individual competition must be at least 16 years old. Participants younger than 16 can compete in Pairs and Teams if competing with someone (older than 16).

If you meet any of the below criteria, you'll receive a separate communication explaining how to register.
If you won first place at a state or regional championship this year with Speedpuzzling.com, you are guaranteed a spot at Nationals.
If you won first place at a sanctioned event this year, you are guaranteed a spot at Nationals.

USA Jigsaw Nationals Convention Info
Convention Attendee Badge ($125/person) - All competitors MUST have an Attendee Badge to enter the venue. This badge entitles you to all kinds of great perks in addition to the competition, such as convention events, seminars, puzzle exhibitors, casual competitions, puzzle artist signings, and lots of opportunities for casual puzzling and practice space! Ravensburger will also once again be selling puzzles and merch!
Spectator Button ($10/person) - Friends and family that just want to come and watch you compete can now purchase a spectator button. They will only have access to the competition space and no access to any of the convention amenities. Buttons can be purchased with registration.
Volunteers
If you are interested in volunteering, please be patient! We will open volunteer sign-ups right after competitor heats are assigned in early 2026, so that you can sign up for shifts if you are also competing after you know your race schedule.
Refund Policy

USA Jigsaw Nationals convention badges are NOT transferable. However, they ARE refundable BEFORE January 15, 2026.
After January 15, we will NOT honor any refunds for USA Jigsaw Nationals convention badges.
USA Jigsaw Nationals competition registrations are NOT transferable. However, they are refundable BEFORE January 15, 2026.
After January 15, we will NOT honor any refunds for USA Jigsaw Nationals competition registration fees.
NO exceptions to any of the above.
