USAJPA is exclusively volunteer-run and we’re incredibly grateful for all of our amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to growing the jigsaw puzzle community around the country.
As we continue to plan for the future, we need your help to bring our vision to life. Check out the opportunities below to see if you might be interested in joining our team for a short-term project, in preparation for Nationals, or as a year-round volunteer.

Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities

USAJPA has grown so much in the last six years and we have big aspirations to improve how we communicate with members across all channels and platforms. We would love for someone to help us manage all of the moving parts as it relates to emails, website updates, social media, and more.

We’re growing our Event Results Team which is also the team who works on JPAR. We have big ambitions for streamlining how we take in data from sanctioned events, iterate on JPAR, and develop new tools and resources to help members track their speed puzzling progress over time. This role would include cleaning competition results, QA of scripts and results, and working towards the modernization and automation of these tasks.

We have big ambitions for streamlining how we take in data from sanctioned events, iterate on JPAR, and develop new tools and resources to help members track their speed puzzling progress over time. We’re looking for a volunteer to help us set and manage project timelines, remove roadblocks for other team members, communicate the team’s work with leadership and other team leads, as well as help with some data clean up and QA.

In addition to the awesome swag we giveaway to Nationals attendees, we have an opportunity to refresh our merchandise available for purchase and are looking for someone to design and coordinate this project.

Puzzle Club has grown to over 150 members each month. We would love for someone to help us manage all of the moving parts.

We’re increasing our support for affiliated state jigsaw puzzle associations, and helping guide new organizations in their formation. We’re looking for a writer to help us draft newsletters, craft email templates, and develop additional resources that will be helpful to new orgs such as best practices for event planning, website design, and program management.

We’re increasing our support for affiliated state jigsaw puzzle associations, and helping guide new organizations in their formation. One of the ways we have found beneficial to state org board leaders is to host seminars on specific topics such as: how to start a traveling puzzle program, how to host a state championship, how to partner with a convention for puzzle events, etc.

Our affiliated state JPA board leaders are looking to connect in person at the 2027 USA Jigsaw National Championship and Convention. SORT has some ideas for how we facilitate this gathering, but would love to bring on a short-term volunteer to help manage the details.
